Fast boat from Bali to Gili Trawangan

Multiple daily departures from Padang Bai or Serangan harbours. We recommend Blue Water Express from Serangan or Eka Jaya fast ferry departing from Padang Bai.

  • For the shortest time at sea use Padang Bai, it's a 90 min crossing to Gili Trawangan and a 90-minute drive from Bali airport and surrounding areas. Padang Bai is also the closest harbour to Ubud area.
  • Serangan is more expensive as its a 2 hour crossing, 25 minutes drive from Bali airport, a good option if you are staying in South West Bali or during high season to avoid the hustle of Padang Bai.
  • Mornings crossings are generally calmer than afternoons.

Land and/or Speed boat transfer from Lombok

If you're already in Lombok you can book a transfer to Gili Trawangan. We recommend skipping Bangsal harbour and taking a speed boat transfer from Teluk Nare.  

  • Boats run all day and can even be booked at night
  • Small speed boats for up to 8 people, not for those who want air-conditioned comfort
  • Can be a bumpy ride, but its an adventure

From Bali airport, same day

From Bali airport, same day

Land in Denpasar airport, transfer to the harbour, board a fast boat, arrive on Gili Trawangan, we meet you at the jetty. Doable the same day if you land in Bali before 11am.

  • Allow 4 hours from flight arrival to boat departure. We strongly suggest contacting us to confirm before actually booking anything.
  • Last fast boats leave Padang Bai, Bali around 3pm; miss that and you'll have to overnight in Bali.

Lombok Airport to Gili Trawangan

Lombok Airport to Gili Trawangan

Land at Lombok's International airport (LOP) in South Lombok, your driver will meet you at arrivals and after a 90 minutes scenic drive will drop to a quiet harbour close to Gili Trawangan where a speed boat will be waiting to transfer you the final 15 minutes.   • Private meet & greet - your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, so there's no queuing for taxis or haggling over fares.
  • Air-conditioned car, bottled water, luggage handled - a comfortable, private vehicle for the drive across the island.
Once you're here

No cars. That's the best part.

The whole island loop is 7km on a flat path. Most things are within 10 minutes of us.

Bikes for hire everywhere. Easy paths, some sandy stretches. The fastest non-walking option.

Horse-drawn cart, the island taxi. Slower than a bike but you get there with style.
